Bit confused as to why storms around Hereford are moving NNW already?

Lots of birds soaring on the thermals here in Kent. Still a lovely evening, might sit out with a glass of wine later.

Yup,hats off to the various internet forecast agencies that were a step ahead of the Met Office this time with warnings in the right zones.

A sultry 31c here in SE London today,i think we were a breading ground at about 3pm for whats happening up North now, nice 'bubbling' of clouds a little North of here.

Anything else likely later for the SW? Missed the action by a mere 20 miles or so but heard a couple of rumbles at least haha.

Must say I find it hard to believe there will be much in the SW tonight. Looks rather messy that way.

ironically nothing in northwest england apart from way up in cumbria,  you couldnt make it up,    this area was meant to be good location, the usual areas having storms,   yes, I know we still have time, hope they dont just become a mass of messy heavy /moderate rain by the time it reaches us, but that would not surprise me too much,  can see the cbs now to the east

Everything is sliding to the left and right of my location, I can hear distant rumbles though
