Long deep rumbles here now and some flashes. Can really feel the energy today. Hands and feet feel tingly at times.

Yes certainly agree there re-energy.. Distant rumbles to my South from round 2.

Prime-time still isn't until 9pm tonight, this is just a bonus round to begin with.

I was just thinking that myself, was expecting things to be later than this. What a bonus round 2 would be when its dark and you can see the lightning :D

Lots of deep booms and a fair few flashes. The rain doesnt seem to know whether it wants to be torrential or not though.

Damn, the storms look like too far east or dying out before they reach here but could be wrong as I am just using the raintoday radar and it's taking ages to update

The batch of t/storms around the Leeds area are more favourable but I am just hoping that the murk and crud which lingered today hasn't hampered the regions chances of them staying active until they reach here.  The cell that was around York was really active but then has died a death - perhaps as it's near the coast the north sea breeze may have had an impact?

Been out to get a few photos but checked the radar and concluded it's best to stay at home now, especially as they skies are messier than before. Some angry clouds about now :)

The energy is still there, as others have said, this is far from over yet!

Hope so! There's been lots west, east and north of me but looks like there's a storm shield around me at the moment :( hopefully i'll see something before the night is out! Sky keeps going black but we're just getting the heavy rain, seems like the edge of the storms!

I must say I'm less sure on tonight's developments now or I think they may only affect S Wales and parts of the SW but otherwise right now is very interesting. :)

I thought it was clearing up over Blackwood.. but the thunder has got louder and what looks like another developing storm system in the rain is pushing here.

I was thinking exactly the same mate!!

Don't get to enjoy thunderstorms these days, we have a very frightened black lab who needs his thunder buddy at times like these
