And in this part of the world, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were abroad. Beautiful blue skies, the odd cloud and a light breeze with 30C.

Indeed, let's enjoy some sangria whilst watching West Country folks' and northerners' party unfold :D

seeing and hearing all these posts talking about the big storms happening around the UK while I'm here in the far south-east sweating my a** off with clear skies and strong sunshine :(

Could have got a few bottles of San Miguel, suppose I will have to do with Carlsberg. Nicely hot here still and with a cooling breeze. Good luck to those getting or expecting storms this evening  :D

Well I didnt need the car after all lol, the storms are lined up coming due north right over Sheffield. Heaven!   Some great Thunder and lightning now.

well i took my eyes off the radar for two hours and ho boy its arrived ,the rain is torrential wind howling plenty of thunder and very dark ,if this cell continues too grow there could be some damage as i,v not seen rain this heavy for ages .interesting times ahead and now some very bright flashes ,cheers .

Know the feeling mate - might get our chance tomorrow with the cold front sweeping through. I haven't experienced one surfaced based storm this year (or even one proper clap of thunder) so fingers crossed for tomorrow.
