Extremely dark here nothing to note, but with the precipitation continuing to develop to the south, ears open.

Some strikes near the Mendips look to be heading Bristols way...fingers crossed it doesn't fizzle then re-develop to our North like usual!

Haha ya gotta love the excitement in this thread when storms are approaching.  We all love em!  (Well most).

Just need them to keep their bite while they trundle north - the sky here has broken and some good spells of sunshine now - feeling very muggy and warm.

T&L here, more developing to the south aswell

the chesterfield one seems like 2 cells, a small 1 ahead of a larger more active one. you've just had the smaller 1 :)

Lots of thunder here, and getting louder. I love it when a plan comes together! Been out and got lots of great photos of cloud structure, explosive convection, etc which I will upload later when I get a moment. Got back home just in time to experience the thunderstorm I had been watching to the south, which is chucking out thunder every 15 seconds or so, presumably high based.  :yahoo:

Was awoken by a growl of thunder here. Another rumble just now, apparently from that cell on the radar just south of Malvern. A few spots of rain, too.

I know we sometimes overuse the term 'supercell', but the storm near York has an interesting signature and a notable rightward shift to it's northerly track?

Thoughts?

And in this part of the world, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were abroad. Beautiful blue skies, the odd cloud and a light breeze with 30C.

Great storm to my west rubbling loud!

Cant hear a thing and it's only a few miles to my west. :(

Very oppresive and thundery now though, hoping the imminent rain only cell suddenly turns electrical as it approaches me. :)
