Cumulus rapidly forming and trying to rise. Keeping an eye out now and will perhaps consider heading north in a bit.

Already higher surface temp than forecast here....26.8C, DP 19.1C, Humidity not too high at the moment.. 62% but feel like temps of 33.7C

Fluffy bits of cumulus beginning to form. Cloud building in the channel looks promising?

my only consolation is that if any storms do develop over my location they'll be moving north

Yes lukey, there are some showers developing but there's quite a bit of anaprop mixed in with the genuine echos

She's going to go cap'ain she canny take any more!

This is looking West.

Convection looking increasingly robust - impressive as was expecting it further north.

Kicking off to the South of the UK...could be some beauties developing within the next couple of hours heading North.

Look how quickly clouds are forming on satellite over parts of Central England. Good signs.

I'm just hoping this cloud that's shadowing the Peak District won't inhibit any CAPE for later on, GFS shows Cheshire/Derbyshire border as the prime location 6pm onwards with 900kj of lift.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see showers developing quite rapidly across C/N England within the next hour.

Beautifully warm and sunny here, Got the rose chilling in the freezer and those lovely convective clouds popping up in the distance :-)

Saw some lenticular-style elements up there too, looked like little dwarf anvils some of them. Reckon the central South and South-East are in with a decent shout today...

Wow it was clear with cirrus just a few hours ago and now I look out the window and see Cumulus everywhere.

OH my Holy God there are some reasonable towers going up here in South Bucks.

Testing 1-2 Testing: Message to North Bucks/Midlands - storms developing, I repeat over, storms developing and heading your way. Roger that?
