Patchy Start. Some clouds, but not enough to block the sun out for a while. Beautiful temperature-wise, average and above.

9:30am 14.8C Blue Skies (only patchy clouds from the West)

13:00pm 17.8C rising Blue Skies (gathering clouds from the west, moving very slowly, sunshine still predominate.

14:00pm 19.5C Blue Skies (same situation, clouds in the east vanished and clouds in the west slowly dissipating into blue sky.)

15:00pm 20.9C Blue Skies (Only high cloud from the west remaining, maybe some spots of cumulus but only coming from the west. You only have to go a few miles east to experience cloudless blue skies next to the coast.

15:30pm 21C Blue Skies (Same situation. A massive divide, one side blue, one side patchy high cloud.)

A maximum of 16C according to a local station. For mid-August in this location that is very low. My own station, which usually records temperatures that are slightly higher than reality, has the minimum at 14.7C and the maximum at 17.3C, so a range of just 2.6C!
