Not to the scale of the Munich storm but I have been watching some very decent storms tonight over Lake Como where I am on holiday. Frequent sheet lightning, marble hail and this possible funnel cloud visible when the lightning flashed.

It was over 2 weeks ago now but some footage of the "flashy" storms on my second night at Lake Como. The following night saw storms last all night long. Video to come on my YouTube channel.

…..And then the following night. Storms around all night, condensed into about hour and a half of video. Main thing about these storms was not the lightning and thunder (which seemed quite high based) but the amount of rain they produced, leading to severe flooding a few miles south of where I was in the town of Lecco. A little worrying as my train back to Milan for the flight home was the following morning and went past Lecco. Luckily my train was unaffected.

Very rapid convection here in Prague today, from a few clouds building to a decent storm in less than an hour. The storm is passing east to the south of the city but plenty of lightning visible, lots of distant thunder and even had mammatus clouds for a while. 38C here yesterday, 34C currently with a strong W’ly breeze.
