The Ecm 12z ensemble mean shows high pressure domination from the end of this week onwards. It looks to me like we are in for a prolonged very pleasant early autumn spell which is especially good news for the north of the UK which has endured a dreadful summer, this looks like a nationwide fine spell at last. :)

Morning Nouska

Out of interest just looked at the comparison 18z GEFS and (P) anomalies. Not a huge difference but perhaps the T574 does push the HP a little further east. Also a possibility of a breakdown from the south later in the ext period. I think the idea behind this is if the HP drifts ENE and is not accompanied by any significant rise in pressure to the SW the low pressure over Spain could possible come into play.
