Alexander Arnold a player who can't take corners or free kicks how he made the squad I don't know. We've now got Danny Wellback who tends to be 90% garbage 10% brilliant.

And usually injured.

Well in the end well beaten could have conceded five without Belgium breaking sweat.

All this game proves is that the Belgium reserves are better than ours.

Well that was a bit boring , could have lost by a couple more and we should have scored , not sure I sign up to the good result etc , would have rather and kept momentum and tried to win tonight , at least key players are rested and fit.

Belgiums squad looks very good and as much as some might celebrate this loss with the apparent easier draw I’d rather England won and faced Japan.

Columbia are a lot more unpredictable especially if Rodriguez is fit.

Next England game is on ITV and I saw this on Twitter.

Since 1998, 9 England World Cup games have been on ITV of which England won 1 (Trinidad and Tobago). England have won 9 of the 13 on the Beeb.

😐

Another reason for England to have won!

ITV is cursing the team .

Analysis of England   backup squad is poor  Delph is awful  England get easier draw  best chance since 90 to get to the semi  Germany are out

Tend to agree, cant see this result being good for squad moral going into the next game.

Basically, the WC starts fresh on Saturday.

England will beat Colombia by 2 clear goals and then beat either the Swiss or Swedes (although i concede that the Swedes in past games know how to get under our skins in games).

I just remember people writing off Iceland as an easy draw 2 years ago. We never looked interested in scoring tonight, to be expected really.

Still, in a way I'm happy. I'm on nights on Monday, off on Tuesday. And if we get through it lines up a potential quarter final on a Saturday afternoon...

If England don’t beat Columbia then Southgates gamble will look pretty bad.

It all feels very deflating after that game and the momentum and feel good factor has hit the buffers .

Perhaps I’m over reacting but I hate seeing England lose any game in a WC.

Exactly , Perhaps VAR will be marking the diving out of ten !

Anyway I don’t want to sour the mood too much so I’ll hit the Gin !  Just ignore me folks , I just can’t cope with a repeat of previous WC traumas !

IMO, England could win 9-0 and ITV would still make it seem like shyte!🤯

They'll target Dele Alli to try and get a reaction. I'd do the same, to be honest.

Let's not get carried away eh?

As the bloke on ITV said, in WC knockout games since 1990 England have beaten Denmark and Ecuador.

We played quite well against poor opposition in the group stage. If they beat Colombia it would be an exceptional result.

Not doom mongering. Just a fact.
