Is there really any point having a top 4 prediction? Ah we're doing the order of the usual teams, gotchya.

I'll have a think about the rest. Although Aston Villa will never go down, it's impossible.

Nothing would please me more than to see them relegated. But they always, always luck out of it.

Arsenal haven't been down since the Jurassic!

Arsenal are the only team in England that have never been relegated or properly promoted (Spurs fans know about this).

I think Crystal Palace will have a good season and could sneak a top 6-8 finish, but won't trouble the big boys. Arsenal are good enough but the if they add consistency then they have every chance of winning this time?

One side not mentioned for relegation is Newcastle, without Pardews 5/6 wins they would have been down, and they had no sides below them in the form table - so they fill one of my going down spots.

Own team predicted finish: 15th - for me there is a lot of hype on players who have not played in the Premier League, need a solid centre back but probably won't get one so it be a season yet again where we be one of the highest goals conceded I would imagine.

Maybe some surprises in there compared to the other predictions but I do think Arsenal will come closer to the title but I feel City will edge it, they will always have goals in them and aslong as they don't any fall outs, then I really can see them winning it.

I know United made some decent signings but for me, if they go on a slump and not challenging, the pressure could be intense on Van Gaal and I can see him losing the dressing room with his style of management.

Stoke City to challenge for the top 4? I can see it in respect if they can make the Britannia the foretress it is for the big clubs and not falter under the much quieter atomosphere when the smaller clubs, then with their solid and defensive style away from home, they may pick enough points to come close to challenging to the top 4.

Of course, we keep getting telt the PL is the most unpredictable and best league in the world yet I can bet virtually every pundit will predict United, Chelsea, Arsenal and City to be in the 4 and the 3 promoted clubs to go down. I do believe Bournemouth will stay up and I hope they do, got a cracking young manager in the making and it will be interesting how he does.

One side not mentioned for relegation is Newcastle, without Pardews 5/6 wins they would have been down, and they had no sides below them in the form table - so they fill one of my going down spots.

Arsenal have been relegated once, in 1913 (the season before moving to Highbury). The old 1919 chestnut explained: After World War I (during which there was no football) they wanted to expand the old First Division. Arsenal (who had finished second in one of the wartime leagues) were elected to join it along with a couple of others. Tottenham were voted out not to make way for anyone, but because they had finished in the relegation places in the last regular season. So they couldn't complain about going down, although who should have gone up is certainly debatable.

Arsenal, or Woolwich Arsenal as they then were, were promoted "normally" from second to first division a few years earlier, about 1905 or 1906 I think.

For next season, top four the same in any random order.

Down, 2 promoted teams plus one other, probably West Brom, Leicester or Villa.

Squeaky bum: Southampton

I think Arsenal look set to be a stronger side this year and may well mount a serious championship challenge, but I expect Chelsea to be the more consistent.  Man Utd's form will probably remain erratic but an improvement on last year.  All of the top three sides' managers should be safe.  Manuel Pellegrini will probably get the sack this season.  Steve McLaren will probably keep his job this season, initially doing well with Newcastle but then having a late-season slump, followed by being sacked the following season.
