Good evening all!

Im hopefully going to be putting my deposit down and doing the pay monthly for the tour next year, just wondered if i could grab some pointers as to the best tour to go on.

I know its unpredicatble but is there any tour over the other thats more likely to give more severe storms?

Also could you shed any rough prices on the flights prices to dallas..... (based on what they were this year, cheapest as possible and as direct as possible).

Really looking forward to fulfilling one of my lifes bucket lists with this :-)

Thanks in advance

James

Hi James, welcome to the forum.

Am sure you'll have a cracking time whichever tour you go on, tbh it's very difficult to say which tour is most likely to provide the most storms, as it can vary - although most years all the tours get a decent slice of the action. Personally I like the later tours as the storms tend to head a bit further north by that point, and it's nicer up there - but that's just a preference!

In terms of flight prices they were around the £600-750 mark this year for direct flights, up to a couple of hundred £ cheaper than that if you take a 1-stopper somewhere. Cheapest time of year is often around the new year, where you may be able to bag one for less than that, but it's worth regularly monitoring prices as they do go up and down.

Hope that helps a bit, please shout if you need any more info.

Paul

For flights I would recommend checking the likes of Expedia, SkyScanner etc. daily. Prices can fluctuate quite wildly. I got an absolute bargain that way (a little over £400) but it was a 1-stop flight.

Hi James,

As Paul said you will have a cracking time, whichever tour you are on. It was my first tour out there this year and I went on Tour 1. It's safe to say the weather made it a challenge for us some days, but without a doubt this was the best 10 days of my life...period. It was the best 'holiday' I've ever been on (I'm not one for sitting on a beach in 40C for a week). It was a fantastic bunch of people, with tour leaders who really know there stuff, and get you great views while staying as safe as possible. Some of the weather events we were treated too were phenomenal. I came back and two days later, my deposit was in for the 2016 chase. Seriously, if you've even got an inkling that you might like it, book a tour, you will not be disappointed! I personally cannot wait for next year and 10-12 weeks after landing, I'm still going through photos and video of my tour!

Hope this helps and maybe see you in 2016!

Mike.
