Disappointing day today after yesterday's improvements!

Tomorrow looks a bit better though and presently it looks as though further into next week looks quite promising too.

will have to wait till late tuesday onwards for a massive improvement but wait untill next weekend for temperatures to reach the high teens even odd 20's possible.

tomorrow looks pretty wet, especially early on.

Certainly looks like it’s going to get warmer but we will no doubt get sea fret and 10 degrees while south basks in 25 degrees.

nice few days with sum warmth and hazy sunshine, much cloudier and cooler tomorrow near coast. sunday/monday looking the warmest again away from east coast.

nice settled weather but nothing fantastic... bit boring for me.

*some not sum!

Yes, no heatwave on the cards for us but at least it's not 7c anymore!

I can put my boxers on the line in the morning and just air them off after tea.

On a more serious note, being out and about is more pleasant now. I've been wearing t-shirts for the last few days so that's a major improvement on recent weeks.

After a max of just 9.9C yesterday it touched 23.3 today despite increasing SE wind.
It was only 4.3C at 4am so quite a big range.

Yes, quite marked difference in temperatures depending on location.

I'm off work this week and as is often the case when I'm off work, I'll go for a few drinks in town on a Sunday afternoon.

I made the schoolboy error of believing that the warmth would last until about 8pm, so I went out in just jeans and t-shirt. By 5:30 I was bloody freezing! By 8:30 I was lying in a hot bath to warm up!

I escaped the low cloud/haar by jumping in the car and heading off to North Yorkshire and enjoyed some sunshine..!! Don't like these easterlies in late spring /summer here along the North-east coast especially when forecasters keep saying enjoy the sun and warmth whilst it lasts..!! ..

Today was glorious. Pulled back the curtains this morning to clear blue skies and it's been wall to wall sunshine til sunset.

The cool down commences tomorrow unfortunately, but hey it's just weather :)

Things have dried up nicely this week, and not much rain due in the near future with a decent weekend in prospect although with chilly nights.

Very noticeable how many of the trees have burst into life over the last week or so

Yesterday turned out to be another glorious day, by mid afternoon there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

It's that time of year though where it can be really pleasant in the sunshine (not "warm") but from tea time onwards it starts to feel decidedly chilly.

Better than being overcast, wet and windy though so mustn't grumble.

Just about continuous sunshine today at Beadnell and Embleton with light breeze - looks cloudier inland - great seaside day.

There has been some thunder along the Cleveland Hills, no great amount of rain but interesting to watch it developing in situ as warm air from inland rode over the cool coastal stuff here at 11C. Another 3.6mm to  add to 9mm yesterday - quit a change since before that only 3mm in the whole month.
It will still be a very dy month, 16mm so far

Showers now showing up on radar after a glorious start to the day, expect some heavy/thundery showers but these will be heading westwards as the day goes on and coastal areas having best of dry sunny weather although chilly breeze off sea.
