Maybe they've got her a cake with plenty of icing on the top although given a choice no doubt Diane would prefer her icing green rather than white

Overnight min 8.5C, currently 11.6C. Pressure 1023mb rising.  Short shower this morning but otherwise variable cloud with sunny intervals.  Quite breezy.

Temperature dropped to 3c overnight with a bit of frost on the cars first thing but its rising quickly now and it looks like a lovely day is on the cards.

Quite a lot of mid-level cloud here this morning. After quite a cold night, it has warmed up quite well and is currently at 14C. We're at that time of the year now, where clear days and nights can often feature very large diurnal ranges.

One of those days where you wish it was July temperatures

would probly be in the mid twenties, alas not to be, does feel

Nice in the sun though, lovely clear skies since dawn here, and

it looks like continuing for the next few days at least.

After a slow start it turned out to be a nice day, a bit on the cool side out of the sun but only what can be expected in late September.

Now to cap it off, a fantastic looking moon is rising.

After a cold night I thought I was going to see something I've not seen for 2-3 years: a completely cloudless sky.  it wasn't to be, sunny intervals until lunchtime and then the infill, a mix of Sc and Ac. Overnight min: 4.5C, max 20.0C*, current: 11.8C.  Pressure 1026mb steady.  Currently calm and clear.

 

*Sensor sheltered but not screened.  Minor UHI

Cold start but looking good for later and maybe a chance to get out in the garden for what could possibly the last grass cut of the season.

Glorious start to the day! Clear skies and early morning sunshine. Got down to 8.0c overnight so not too chilly. 

 

Looks like a great week on offer with plenty of chances to get outdoors and enjoy the settled weather... It could be so much worse at this time of year! :)

Still clear blue skies, bright sunshine and not a breath of wind.

Temperatures are responding, already at 13c so a warm afternoon looking likely.

Just need the cloud to keep away.
