75 f and sunny ,lots of smog from forest fires though :(.. (Mammoth lakes ,lol:))

It sounds like your enjoying it.

As for here, not a bad day so far, a fair bit of sunshine so far but also occasional short lived showers although one of them was potent while it lasted.

Current temperature (4pm) is 18c so hardly heatwave conditions but it could be worse.

Quite a lot of weak and hazy sunshine this morning. August has been a really decent month up here.

True, it's been pretty good but after July's write off, anything was an improvement and when the dust settles on summer 2015, all it does is turn an abysmal season into an average on, certainly up here.

It's certainly been the best August for a few years though.

It's not been a headline summer that's for sure, weather it be for good or bad reasons... a bit 'average' sums it up for me.  The wet weather as mostly been to the south for the last week or so, but it seems to be creeping ever northward on that wavy weather front... overcast after a bright start, we'll see some rain later or tomorrow perhaps.

Yet again another lacklustre performance of a day. Stubborn cloud very limited chunks of brightness but it did stay dry at least with light winds. Temperatures disappointing again - today has been a typical scene that has dominated much of the summer. A summer that failed to really get going.

Well that's it for summer 2015 then.

At least it wasn't one that started with so much promise but then tapered off; it just never really got going.

Average at best and, other than the hot spell at the end of June, early July and a couple of thundery days, one to consign to the back of the drawer.

Apart from the chance of a few showers in the next few days, it looks like it could be quite benign after that for the next week or so with HP close by to the west slowly inching towards us.

Hi Miamay not heard anything here must be very localised. Just stuck my head out of the door

it's raining again. Not hanging around to see if there is thunder and lightening, just got home after a 14 hour shift and back on

in 7 hours..................I need sleep :lazy:

Quiet in this regional thread - anyone had rain in South Liverpool

Around 11am I was driving (or perhaps I should say sailing) the roads through South Liverpool (Childwall, Woolton, Speke). The rain was intense and for a duration to start lifting manhole covers, as pointed out by my other half. I must say I need need 100% concentration on keeping to the road since kerbs were lost under the water !
