Nowt here yet but sky looks threatening.

Temp dropped from 24C to currently 16C, a drop of 8C in two hours under heavy rain. Didn't think the warmth would last. Looks distinctly autumnal this coming week. Looks like "summer" '15 is on its last legs and already crawling towards its grave.

I think it exploded over here.

Tropical looking rain for about 15 minutes with constant thunder and a fair bit of lightening.

Looks like it's moved on now and the sky has brightened a little but impressive while it lasted.

Well after such lovely summer weather for much of the day, it looks like autumn is back with us again.

Heavy rain, mist down on the tops and a temperature drop of almost 10c in the last couple of hours.

There are some consolations from normal service being resumed though; it cools the house down, the plants don't need watering and the ghastly 400ft wind turbines that have appeared on the ridge line less than a mile from home are hidden in the clouds.

Mind you I'd sooner have sunny weather and just look the other way.

Back now from the beach at Formby, where it was mostly cloudy, but very warm, until the cold front came though, then it felt like someone had opened a fridge door. The temperature dropped about 5 degrees in a few seconds, remarkable. The wind swung around so it was off the sea too, which must account for some of the difference.

Well that was eventful another thunderstorm

Nice to see you and sparkles back on here again itsnowjoke

Hopefully you'll both stick around for the winter weather let downs and a bit of banter thrown in for good measure.

You never know we might even need to dig out the emergency chairs.

Quite an interesting cold front there. It was 26C at about 13:00, now it's only 15C and it feels like we've just gone from high summer to late autumn in the space of one afternoon.

True but looking at the models i'd say late autumn is going to be around for a while now.

Could just do to squeeze a decent BH weekend out of it first though.
