Me too...some models strongly steering away from the idea now.... :cray:

If we get nothing tomorrow, that's three plumes with nothing here. Last year, most plumes produced for me. This year, complete opposite. Still, will await the 12z model outputs before jumping to any firm conclusions.

A very wet day here today. 12.4 mm of rain fallen after some frequent heavy rain showers but no thunder which was a surprise to say some of the rain was torrential at times. Lets hope tomorrow night delivers something.

Might be something heading for Brighton, have a feeling as this one developed over the channel it may hold together.

I'm keeping my eye on the development of any possible embedded squalls. As far as I can see there's very few developing (Hit or Miss) but this took like more of a wash out than stormy wash out for most parts Western, South West, Northern and Parts of the Midlands.

This would be the perfect senario if it was yesterdays temps.

The animation showed for our latitude we do marvellous in retrospect.

I never thought there would be much on offer today...wait a second. There is some energy to be had.

I can hear the odd rumble of thunder every now and then, but it looks as though it's headed for Brighton

Lightning just south of MK.

Rapid development if that's the case, only the faintest of blue was showing on the recent radar return! Interesting stuff.

Edit: oops I was wrong!

False return. I'm in MK and it's hot and sunny now with the odd cumulus floating about. Nothing thundery looking around at all, but i'm watching the sky as there is some energy available now the clouds broken so a storm popping up is possible this evening.

Keeping my fingers crossed (but not holding my breath) that neat little Brighton cell holds it together...on a direct path for me, however can't see it holding together for an hour or more (even though it is very warm and humid (feeling) here now)...

I hope the people who have been complaining about the Channel are watching lol...spawned that if nothing else.

UKMO precipitation projections much like the NMM run now...missing the SE out completely...permission to start feeling sad :cray:

Absolutely LOVE this - thanks for posting!

Thats some funky stuff right there...

Sort of reminds me of blood pumping through veins, thats really cool. Also I noticed most of the lightning splits around the UK when it get here? haha

Wow, though I feel like I'm tripping lol. Clearly shows what an active and surprisingly thundery winter parts of the UK had and the spectacular plumes of 17th-19th July and 17th September.

No worries and haha I had similar thoughts when I was watching it.

For tomorrow night I feel reasonably optimistic that some parts of the S/SE will get some goodies out of it, the charts and parameters look good to me. I may be wrong of course, though I wouldn't worry too much about BBC graphics or some model output as they were wrong on the day yesterday and have known them to be many times before (I don't think the BBC graphics showed much on the 28th June 2012)

What a contrast to yesterday's heat! Rain and gusty winds have knocked a good 10-12 degrees if not more off the temp and humidity. Wonder what we have in store for tomorrow evening/night? A number of the storms that hit the NW last night were forming overhead with spits and spots of rain, only to get 10-15 miles North and start dropping bolts.
