I see that Birmingham cell is firing off lots, but is it heading too far NE to clip Stoke?

Wouldn't mind just seeing a distant flash on the horizon, never mind round one (or in this locality round minus one!) I think the local forecast was pretty accurate keeping the activity to the west of the region.

Shows over. Can't complain, great light show to the N and W and pretty close but no cigar. Very little thunder or rain. Nice show tho

seems to be spreading out a bit more. Thought the Birmingham one might miss, but picking up strikes further west too

what are the chances of things making it up this far then? Radar still seems bright as things move north. Some good cells around..

Have just returned from 3 hours of pretty much solid thunder and lightning, by far the best thunderstorm I have ever seen.

Am visiting family in Wiltshire so was viewing the western storm. Lightning at 50 + strikes a minute for well over an hour. Thousands of strikes caught on video.

Enjoy it up north!

Yes, looks like instability is picking up in Wales again too....maybe this stuff will spread out as it heads N after all?

Wow had amazing storm pass through here which made a change. The Bournemouth storm is moving east, i thought that would happen, at first it looked like moving north.
