I'm not too sure that is the CF. I didn't think the CF was aligned N-S for a start.

I am only basing it on the MetO chart issued earlier today for pressure forecast. I know it was to be treated only as guidance obviously

0100hrs;

Lots of flashing going on in NW London at the moment, but up to now, no banging. :cc_confused:

TBH if that really is the CF straddling the West Midlands it'll be game over for us soon and the East Midlands getting the fun....possibly a la Euro 4 from earlier

Another cell just formed near Exeter, so it that is the cold front, then stuff is still firing up behind it

I think it must be & the occasional stuff over the sea near Liverpool is the triple point.

Ok. I am going to get my head down for an hour and then to "wherever the radar takes me" in about 2 hours.

Loads of flashing to my east and just saw a sweet CG strike but it's pretty damn far away the thunder is so distant. Don't know whether to head east or wait for the Bournemouth cell to head a bit more north?

Well if that's the case the pressure chart from the Metoffice posted above is slightly out of kilter with what has actually occurred!

I heard more thunder. Must be from that cell near Ascot.
