Trying not to but losing hope here in London absolutely nothing to report, not even a shower!

Although the wind does appear to have picked up slightly and the temperature has started to drop noticeably - not much in the way of cloud formation though

Patience, northern france seems to developing something.

Hello,

Nice to meet all of you. I am new here and would like to ask a few questions regarding our current storm situation.

Where is the bowling ball size hail?

Where is the F5 500 mph tornado?

On a serious note I only want to see a tornado from a safe distance that doesn't cause any injuries.

Just been out to check and yes there is a line of strong convection right above my house. Very promising for those just north of me!

hopefully that line stretches towards horsham!

Christ almighty man - have you seen a model, chart or TV forecast that anything coming close much before midnight??? When sferics are racing northwards with nothing behind it, by all means feel dispondent. Few hours to go yet for us :D

Also, sky in our region has been littered with AcCas all evening...good signs.

My main worry for us in the SW quarter is that the cold front is perhaps pushing in too quickly for us?

What charts are you looking at Chris which determine where the CF is?

The cell over Wirral has de-activated in terms of lightning, it must be too cold/fresh here.

Boy, its certainly kicking off to the south of Bournemouth/Poole as well as that lot over & to the south of Dorchester & Weymouth.

Looks like someone's lit the blue touch paper.

Area of developing storms between Weymouth-Guernsey is growing with each 5 min radar screen, looks like it will run up across Dorset-Somerset-Bristol so potentially excellent viewing from my part of Wiltshire towards the West. However I expect it to grow further and expand, possibly producing a lot more lightning by midnight than the precipitation area might suggest too.

any i got my stream running :)  hopefully we will have 3 cams out for this 2 gopro clones and a webcam :)

Three areas of interest right now, all grown in the past half hour

Indeed, they are the two areas which I have my eye on. Of course, other parts will have a few isolated exploding cells over them in the coming hours too.

My god the surface charts are a joy, it's not often you get a Warm Front with storms firing on it - Acold front over Devon and the triple point over Nw Wales. Love these Synoptics
