Not feeling too warm or humid in Lancashire. But then again the temps dropped to about 16/17 on Weds before it kicked off

As promised, here's the re-run of the 6z on our NetWx-SR model, using the physics which has in the past been excellent in storm situations.

Erm, quite lively......

Now that Paul, is what we like to see!

Pretty capped atmosphere down here at Gatwick where I'm working atm, not even any altocumulus that normally heralds storms later, just thin high cirrus, 25C in hazy sunshine and a strong easterly wind. You wouldn't think storms are possibly on the way later...

We have altocumulus here in SE London,as others said humidity seems to have soared with its arrival at 315pm.

Same here in south Bucks. Cirrus widespread although with some patches of alto-cumulus developing now. Looks pretty unstable to be honest. Muggy.

Not keen on how overcast the skies are here currently.

Got a sneaky feeling the action will be further east than the Meto suggests.

AC developing here as well, jets from Stansted passing by at 10,000' are well below it!

As soon as I read your post the sun came back out just North of Bristol haha...is quite hazy at the moment. Latest BBC forecast has the best action North of the m4 *spit*

It had gone relatively cool and breezy but now the humidity has really jumped up and the heat is starting to build too. Still got a strong wind from the south at a good rate. Had some AcCas start to appear during the F1 practice so about 3pm but the sky has now cleared and has some lovely high level cloud which seem to show updrafts. X
