A nice day well there is a illusion of fog in my neighbourhood as some are letting off fireworks sounds like bombs whizzing and exploding on impact! Happy Halloween folks I do not engage in it myself. :D

We had a barbecue in  T-shirts again, second time this month. The temperature got to 18c here today. Then we sat and ate all the treats we bought to give to the trick or treaters. Just to think, it's Christmas tomorrow on wards and another barbecue in the next 14 days isn't out of the question. Got fireworks here too. :drinks:

Patches of dense mist had formed by around 7.00 PM after a decent day in terms of brightness.

Early fog here appears to be thinning and lifting now. The sun is trying to break through.

First nice thick fog in a while.
Remember the days when we used to get plenty of foggy days.

The special ones are freezing fog, great for amazing sceneries.

Beautiful clear autumn morning here. Blue skies and chilly.

No major rain or Atlantic storms for the next 10 days it seems.. Long may it continue.

Why on earth are folk on the MOD thread crying over the benign weather is beyond me, let's be real here, it's 1st November therefore if it isn't the benign weather it's mild Atlantic wet crap.

Save the cold weather for December/January when we actually have a chance of seeing snowfall.

Off out for for a run with the dog now in the sunshine. Happy Sunday

Fog here to should make for an interesting game of golf... Chilly but nice. A few on here have pointed out about crying out for a Gale, me too. I love frosty nights or wind storms or snow but I hate benign conditions that if the flow is wrong it's easterly grey rubbish that does nothing to man nor beast.hoping for something to really get my teeth into second half of November. Happy Sundays all

Harpenden appears to be the only place in the South East without fog!

The fog's pretty thick here.

Pretty foggy earlier but lovely now.  Last night's fog was very patchy, though, by this morning, it seemed more homogeneous.

Looks that way. Still blue sky and sunny here.

Makes a change as Harpenden is usually the town that keeps the fog the longest before it lifts.

Still foggy and dull, better than gales and pouring rain.

Agree with Ben what is people moan about benign weather.

Sorry but even this beats gales and rain, even if it is default autumn weather.

At least if the fog clears it will be really warm.

Well one thing is for sure it isnt going to be a record Nov 1st here.

Still fog and in fact its starting to thicken up again.

I was driving from local high street and thought umm its beginning to look like winter,  those days where it doesnt get much above freezing

In fact its actually only just reached 10c, not what was forecasted yet again..

Started foggy the cleared to lovely blue sky, although fog persisted all day in the channel. Looks like it's starting to move back in now as the sun is going down.

The Fog has returned already quite dense - there were 50 flight cancellations at Heathrow, this morning. I love these foggy evenings & mornings. :)

Became very foggy very quickly!! literally clear half hour ago to pea soup. Really do prefer nice quiet foggy days and nights rather than horrid wet and windy conditions.

In 1991, the precursor to the freeze up was a lot of fog!

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
