Amazing how quickly things evolve. Had 15-20 cracks of thunder in just a few minutes which have now mostly died away. Still quite a lot of lightning but all elevated now...

It's looking insane to my west here and a lot of grumbling as well.

The main core of the London cells seems to be making a line for the large area of countryside between Harlow and Chelmsford, anyone in Chipping Ongar are going to get hammered very soon.

That east Kent cell appeared from nowhere and lasted about an hour passing through. Easily in my top 5 for power, precip and lightning frequency. Also heard recognisable shotgun thunder for first time ever. More lightning now to the south, let's keep it going.

Hope everyone's enjoying or safe and sound.

Lots of lightning to the south and a few rumbles of thunder.

Is it going to go right over me or will I miss it lol

Now the storm has passed the moon is huge with a pinky orange tint and a ring around it.

Are we expecting any more this evening/morning?

Lots of distant flashes and the odd rumble looking south west over the estuary from southend. It's so fresh and yet storms feels weird... Radar has gone nuts cells sprouting from nowhere so fast...

Fantastic show over south London. In waterloo for the week on the 13th floor looking south towards Brixton and Elephant and castle.

Alot of fork lightning. Stay safe.
