5 teams in CL I think

Same applies if we win EL and finish fifth, still 5 teams in the next CL?

I, for some reason thought that fourth would not be good enough, depending on what UTD do?:cc_confused:

How many neutrals who so lauded up last seasons triumph will be hoping Leicester get relegated now. I certainly will, that will teach the selfish owners and lazy players a lesson. By the end of Sunday

Wow Ole the magical tactician, what a manager, completely turned it around. United should of won by more, 2-3 flatters Southampton, they were pretty average(I guess Newcastle just made them look good)

97 points only 1 defeat in the league all season and still not win the title..if you had said that at the beginning of the season you would have got more likes from Man U fans than a Steve Murr winter

Messi back to his best..and proves yet again who is the best footballer in the world...Ronaldo proves yet again who is the best at waiving their arms around and rolling of the eyes..in disgust at his team mates...

West Ham and Newcastle raided in fraud probe...why am I not surprised in the slightest that it was those two?!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-39716009

With their owners, anything is possible.

Newcastle have been raided before, but not by HMRC: by police investigating transfer dealings.

Don't think anything came of it, and it was pre-Ashley too, I think.

One thing is, when considering which clubs have been raided, they'll no' find much in the trophy cabinet!:D

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. That's him done, hopefully.

The Scottish FA gave him a one-match ban in November for the same offence. :D

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38010393

Edit: There's a statement on his website.

    http://www.joeybarton.com/betting-statement/

    My favourite bit:

    Quote

Raised at the hearing was that between 2004 and 2011 I placed a handful of bets on my own team to lose matches. I accept of course that this is against the rules, for the obvious reason that a player with an additional financial stake in the game might seek to change the course of it for his own personal gain. However I’d like to offer some context.

Chelsea raided by HMRC now, too.

    Won't post a link as it's in the S*n.

Edit: Actually, the Mirror says they were visited to gather info rather than raided so perhaps Chelsea are not implicated.

Glad you edited that Yarmy. As you say and news sources are reporting, Chelsea weren't raided and no items were removed from the club. Very different to what happened at Newcastle and West Ham today.

As for Joey Barton, what a [email protected], hopefully thats the end of his playing career. Not something I would usually wish on any player but he's an exception to that rule.

Well West Ham will probably get a tax refund from the HMRC because they've upset the fans by doing this raid. It's enough that we pay towards the ground policing etc a sort scam that only West Ham can take advantage off.

What will probably happen is that Newcastle get hammered and promotion denied while west ham get nothing leaving the Newcastle feeling rather miffed.

It most certainly isn't, Mark...Not only do Chelski need 'not win' twice, but we need win another straight six-games straight...Right, I'm off!:D
