Prior to 1290 the land was owned by the monks of St. Michaels' Mount when it was bought by the Tremenheere family who used it for many things including being the vineyard for the Mount in the 15th Century. The current owner Dr Neil Armstrong acquired the valley in 1997 and is busy turning it into a naturalistic space blending the elements of landscape, planting and art. The scultures are by internationally renown sculptors such as James Turrell, David Nash and Tony Latimer.
