Check out that Cocking cell - gonna go off one soon!

Looking good, I might be a bit far north to see it spit lightning though as a thin layer of cloud has slid its way over.

I just hope more builds to the west as its making a its way directly for Central London.

I saw a flag through the trees as I was parking up - must've been the one near Chichester but since then nada

I hope it was the Union Flag and not the French invading!

Its starting to get light im not sure if im going to head off to bed because this stuff looks like its not going to do much other than the odd flash of lightning.

Even the Biscay stuff is dieing.

Yup, it does seem to be just that one. That line is darting towards London... go onnnn wake those that're sleeping up with a few good loud claps and house-shaking rumbles. (^_^)

EDIT (03:43): Just post that and whoosh, strike in London (nr Canary Wharf).

Don't know why I'm up this late. Browsing the net, editing a job app, etc....

Time to sleep, this looks hopeless so far, but I reckon things could potentially kick-off. Setting my alarm for 2-3 hours.

Guys, that wasn't a false positive. It's still there, and in fact, people on Twitter from London are saying they heard the thunder :)

Just looks like a line of normal showers, I do not get how all the models could be wrong about the overnight hours and good forecasters.

Its so frustrating, tomorrow the same scenario will happen... we will all be cam watching. :fool::rofl:

Proof of the lightning strike over London at 3:41 am, on the Abbey Road webcam. Click on 'Archives' to the right and then click the 3-4 AM timeslot. Drag the scrollbar until you get to the right time, happens at 03:41:37 seconds. :)

East is East lol

Forecast was pretty spot on, I didn't expect storms to be quite this far east this early. I think it's time to hire a boat and head for the north sea for this afternoon lol haha.....
