15.0C Please.

After a coldish start temps will then stay at or around average.

I have an unscientific gut feeling the switch has been flicked back to the cool setting and our long run of mostly above average months is at an end with may being a taster,  not helped by a cooler north atlantic,  a slightly below 14.4c is my guess

A fine balance I say between a potentially warm June and something much more average. I am going for a warmer than average month based largely on current forecasts which suggest a significant warmer spell early on which should help keep the CET up even if things do cool down markedly. My guess is 15.4 degrees. A little warmer than last June.

However, there is a chance we could replace the warmer interlude with something much cooler from the NW, if heights shift to an unfavourable position. Confidence is low this month as there are conflicting signals, the cool atlantic SST's being a key factor.

I have the table of entries ready for posting later, so far 63 entries, median value is 15.1 and these mid-range values are not yet taken by anyone ... all 13.0 to 13.7, and 16.3, 16.5 to 16.8.

There are clearly two schools of thought about the warm spell, two clusters of forecasts around 14.1 and 15.1 are evident. Will post this as close to midnight as possible, as I have plans to head out a bit before then. Can always edit in the later entries.
