The storm is rapidly moving away to our north now. Any forumers reading this from Nuneaton, Atherstone, Tamworth - you're in for a real treat!

Great stuff.

Eased off here now i honestly cant remember so many lighting strikes in a short space of time. It was well worth the wait though.

Oops spoke too soon just heard some more rumbles could there be an encore.

I was about to clock in for the night, but we appear to have an encore heading in from the south. Not as intense, but still pretty to watch.

So where am I hearing this new thunder from then? Can't tell from the radar or lightning detectors. Is it just the stuff to the east skimming by a bit closer?

Thunder returning. :)

Flight radar 24 says they have just come from Malaga. Nice view though not quite sure I would want to be in a plane around such frequent lightning to be honest! Lol.

Awesome light show out to my east - Coventry must be getting slammed right now.

I can hear it too. At a bit of a loss too. Hopefully next radar update will reveal all.

Edit: On the last radar frame, the stuff to our east has got a bit fatter and has come a bit closer...also, theres the signs of something building to our west. It's one of them anyway!

And the little storms to our southwest continue to march towards us.

Literally the biggest storm I've seen. Gotta be up at 6.30 - may as well pull an all nighter now
