Frickin hilarious, not only has once again the chance of finally hitting 20c this year vanished for Friday but the charts have full on gone for those dreaded green upper north westerlies and 14c showery stratomuck all weekend now! unbelievable.

Unbelievably windy today, can't remember the last time the wind was that fierce in June, lots of debris flying about and even a roadsign got blown down.

Can't believe how many foolish cyclists i saw on open roads, not safe at all.

Might see HP build in next week instead.

Always does, only to be gone and replaced by another Cheshire Gap howler next weekend no doubt

still decent weather coming up, dry the key thing, NW of this region always the worst, but still expect dry weather and higher temps, 19C thurs, 17C fri, 14-15C Sat and Sun with a cool wind

warmer of course for the majority in this thread away from the NW

That's like 10C lower than was being forecast at the weekend, you can never rely on Spanish plumes these days unless you live in London or Holland. Why does the NW Midlands nearly *always* have to come off worst?

Actually reached the mid-teens today, even started to feel, well not warm but less cold, until the wind started up again...

Incredibly frustrating. Literally the warm uppers are just across the channel for much of the time. The green uppers only ever invade Britain and no where else. I am beginning to think El Nino may be playing a role and this could end up being a very cool summer and one of the coolest for years. High pressure just wont move East and sits as a massive circular blob in the Atlantic. 2007-2012 esque really.

Britain could not be in a worse place. Amazing that from Calais SE wards its all fine! Just us as usual suffering.

If that retrogressing high looks to come to fruition I will already be ready to write off June soon enough.

The forecast:

Wednesday: sunny, patchy clouds, virtually no rain, moderate winds.

Thursday: partially cloudy, light winds, slightly warmer than Wednesday.

Friday: gloomy, barely sunny, maybe some showers, slightly warmer than Thursday.

(Friday was supposed to be 'stormy and sizzling', well don't expect much now)

Saturday: cooler, mild, partially cloudy, virtually no rain, breezy.

Sunday: pretty much the exact same as Saturday, may be cloudier.

Monday: pretty much Sunday with a shower, light winds.

Tuesday: Anti-cyclonic gloom guaranteed, slightly cooler than Monday, breezy and just cloudy.

Wednesday: Basically Monday with less cloudy.

Thursday: Same as Wednesday but warmer.

Friday: Same as Thursday, slightly milder.

AND THIS PATTERN WILL PROBABLY CONTINUE FOR AT LEAST HALF OF JUNE!

Such boooring weather.....

Quite cloudy but bright here. Dry and winds have subsided, 10.0C.

At least most of next 5 days should be dry and bright, and perhaps mid to upper teens, so a big improvement. I know it's cooler than originally forcast, but still better than of late, and personally I prefer upper teen temps to those in the 30C range.

Plenty of sunshine so far, but still feeling too cool for June. Wind still won't get lost, just as you start warming up in the sunshine it reminds you it's still there. Should beat 15C today but won't get 20 unless the wind does get the message it's not wanted anymore.

To much fair weather stratocumulus still around here since finishing work but marked improvement on recent days.

Weekend still looking like standard routine of sunny 7am, cloudy 8am-8pm, then clear night.

In the meantime might finally, finally reach 20c tomorrow for the first time since September!

Last 20 °C here was rather more recent -- the record-breakingly warm Hallowe'en -- but the 2015 maximum here still stands at 19.8 °C from a couple of weeks ago. Wednesday was a bit below expectations -- a lot of cloud around until late afternoon, and the winds (although lighter than the previous day) were still quite chilly when the sun wasn't out. We eventually hit 19.0 °C at about 5pm. Really hoping for the big 2-0 to hit at last in the next 12 hours or so!
