The storm east of Abilene TX, WSW of DFW is looking strong on radar...hook forming nicely and it's completely isolated from other cells...Has tornado warnings on it.

Looks to be a solid right mover too!!

Cisco supercell turned into a HP mess now, so seems to have lost its structure of the meso by making it rain-wrapped.

Indeed, some storms popping up over the eastern texas Panhandle now along the dryline, and chances that they will further up the line, MD issued for this area:

Cisco storm starting to look a bit more organised to me on radar

Two storms to the north looking bit healthier too, especially the one West of Wichita Falls

Edit - Cisco storm tornado warned again...strong rotation showing on velocity radar

That was disturbing to say the least.  To read of a chaser being caught up in a tornado is one thing, to actually see it live on stream is something else. I only literally just tuned into that stream just as he got caught in it, and trees and debris were flying all over the place and there was nothing he could do.

I am sadenned by this W09,i was viewing the north lamar cell only to skip around @ the last minute to check the other tornado warned cells and clicked on his at the last second to see a rain wrapped tornado and he was trying to drive away from it,there is still no live feed from him :( .

Three more tornado warnings now,one S of Dodge city and two north of that,Matt Mcune on one NWW of hays.

Salvaged the day which was turning out pretty bad for us with a couple of Dusk Tornadoes near Grinnell east of Colby on a long tracked Supercell which had at least 12 Tornadoes on it and crossed about 4 counties in Kansas and 1 in Nebraska, stunning Supercell as we approached from the West.

Guests are happy to have broken their duck!

Was a tough call where to target yesterday, but my lesson learned is to perhaps avoid areas where morning storms are, as this appears to create a cold pool and subsidence in its wake, in the case of yesterday, SW Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles and prevents quick recovery  by limiting temperatures rises and also moisture return. Areas that recovered quicker early afternoon, i.e. eastern Colorado saw tornadic supercells develop ... along with areas to south of yesterday morning's crapvection over central/northern Texas where CAPE/moisture was more abundant - where we saw some strong tornadoes.

Another 2 areas of potential for later today, SPC have the higher tornado potential for N/NE Texas and SE Oklahoma - where CAPE and LL shear looks greatest. Then the more northern area of potential over Iowa, far east of Nebraska and NW Missouri - where we will see the centre of a low and its triple point drift east.

All in all it's been a up and down start to the tour, right place, wrong time sums it up for some of the storms.  But that's what happens when you have to make decisions to be in the right place for the next days risk.

That said, we've seen plenty, a tornado or two (depending if you count a satellite as one for the list...), spectacular lightning, a typical Kansas dusk supercell firing off like a 70's disco and strikes close enough to make you flinch.

I'll have to drag through video to see if I got anything of last nights tornado (Day 1), and the cold front that followed us back towards Colby was pretty cool, along with the funnel clouds that appeared out of a rapidly reorganising storm that we'd just about given up on (I'll need to grab a copy of a video from a guest for that one, as I was driving)

So 6 states, over 1000 miles, happy guests and some spectacular viewing, roll on the next storms.
