Some sleet possibly snow at my house this afternoon. I could see it on the web cam but rising dew points have turned whatever falls back to rain.

You have to laugh don't you. Here we are at the end if April with winter synopsis charts that would have delivered so much more during the actual winter! Currently -8 dew point here. It never got anywhere near that during the winter just gone. Some of us might get a surprise or too tonight.

Well it missed the University if there was one. Yup Snow mostly sleet during the afternoon but not a blizzard and sadly stopped by the time I left for home at 16:00am. Looked pretty impressive on my home web cam. Didn't see any settling though.

Wow.

Heavy snow here in Pudsey for the last hour and really starting to cover all surfaces well.

Looking at radar we are / were in the sweet spot for this band.

Was sunbathing and burning my balding pate only last Wednesday!

We had a very heavy hail shower that lasted near half an hour earlier in the afternoon. It left behind nearly an inch of ice on all surface that in places still remains now. It's official April has been more successful fir cold and wintry weather than the whole of the previous winter. If only the SSW happened  earlier.

Well we have a dusting here, looks and feels like a mid winter night opposed to a late April night

Rain pushing through quicker than expected sadly looks like it will be gone by the time the cold uppers arrive which is a pity.

Thunder Snow here. Snow is coming in heavy, already covered ground after less than 10 minutes.

Temp is dropping like a rocket, dropped 1c in 20 minutes.

edit: looking at the path of the lightning strikes its going to go right over West Yorkshire, if it keeps intensity.
