And they all completely missed me :(

 

I've seen a 10 minute heavy rain spell 1 lightning flash and a couple of real thunder 'booms' but otherwise it's all been rumbling in the distance!

Just heard a crack of thunder here. Looking south and dark clouds a coming although beer going down nicely on patio.

Two storms yesterday around the same time and you Can't beat hot sunshine during the day and t-storms for tea. ;-)

Just out of interest we had 35mm of rainfall yesterday evening, which is about 64% of the months rain, in 3 hours.

 

A sunny morning with little or no cloud, but by midday the cloud was building from the South. The wind was also getting up by about 13.00hrs to give a blustery wind by mid afternoon. It is now darkening in from the West, so I expect some rain again tonight

 

Max Temp 23.9C

Min Temp 14.4C

 

Wind Gust 17.3mph Easterly

Wind Average 8.6mph Northerly

Been a good weekend for storms.  Parts of Castleford got flooded and had 2 hours of constant thunder on Saturday.  Was very impressed with it all.

 

Mind you, I did get some noise on my Amateur radio.  Even NAVTEX was warning of it Sunday for costal fishing.  Managed to get the signal from Portpatrick stating it would go northwest over the UK.  Shame I did not get the WEFAX image for the same day as well.  Might have been a good chart.

A cloudy but dry day with some hazy sunshine from time to time. No rain as was forecast, but was cooler than of late.

WOW just had crazy rain near Rotherham about an hour ago. The sky was fantastic. I was on M18, Jc 1 and it was very impressive. The rain was absolutely torrential, I had the wipers on speed 3 and still couldnt cope. Saw 2 flashes of lightning and thunder but the rain was the main event. Everywhere was flooded under a few inches of water. What a great few days of weather its been :D

I saw it on the radar, I thought it was going to catch us. But it drifted just over the other side of the hill (I'm in a valley)

 

I could see the really dark clouds through my back door!

A bright and sunny start to the day with little or no cloud around 8.00am. By middday, cloud was building and by mid afternoon full cloud, but some bright intervals early afternoon.

A wet start to the day with early morning rain, which stopped by about 07.00hrs. The rest of the day has been mostly cloudy with some good sunny periods in between, but quite cool with a South Easterly wind when the sun went in.

Gorgeous clear blue skies this morning. not a cloud to spoil the view!

 

Wonder how long it'll last!?!?  :D  :nonono:

 

I'm just hoping things get turned around, I'm off to the IOW from Sunday and my OH hasn't got any sea legs at all - even though it's only a hour crossing

Had a few hefty showers later on. but wasn't too bad today.

 

 

I hear the IOW ferry can be a bit bouncy at times.  Mind you if it is rought and you end up being sea sick, look at the horizon and it will calm it down.

 

I'm fine. my sea legs are fine. it doesn't take too much rocking for the OH to start though :)

A nearly cloudless sky this morning with plenty of sunshine, but, as ever cloud was building gradually by midday. There was a heavy shower for a short while, then back to a blue sky again. The wind was cool enough when the black clouds covered the sun.

Fantastic deep red sunset tonight with the moody clouds. Tried to get a photo but bloody phone is useless at picking the colours up properly. Grr! Lovely sight anyway :)
