Do we think hull will get snow today/tonite ?

Currently based in Hull (university). Temps around 5C and dropping, dew points sub zero currently at -0.2C and dropping. Looks good for snow as dew points are arguably more important than air temperature. Don't be surprised if it starts off as sleet, but will rapidly turn to snow as the core of the showers drop temperatures.

Hope so as we have missed out all winter

It's been dire. On Wednesday I drove 20 minutes north near Driffield over the hillier parts and it was coming down heavily with 3-5cm on the ground. As I got lower towards Beverley, nothing on the ground but was still snowing heavily. Got towards Hull and it was raining (eventually turning to snow for about 15 minutes).

Several heavy snow showers in Bempton this afternoon, but not cold enough to settle properly, about 3C at the moment, and snowing hard. Driven by a Northerly wind I would expect Hull to see some wet snow

Early sleet & wet snow has given way to moderate, frequent and prolonged snow showers here in Scarborough. Too marginal to accumulate, even on favoured surfaces- but nice to see and I expect this to continue overnight with perhaps a dusting by dawn.

ECM/GFS goes for another temporary period of snowfall for high ground across West/North Yorks on Wednesday.

I'm back in London now so won't see anything but could be interesting if you live around 200m+

Keeping an eye on the cluster of showers, heading south from Scotland.

Could be the last temporary covering for us mere lower lying mortals, this winter.

Conditions are now conducive for snow to fall an settle at all elevations across the region and will be untill early tomorrow, the further east your are the better. Shower activity is already starting to pep up and the wind will gradually veer slighly more E of North as the night progresses. This really is a good chance for low lying areas of N and E Yorkshire and Lincs close to the coast to see some snowfall. All eyes on radar and good luck!

Expecting a light dusting overnight- first shower in recent times on my doorstep.

Will be good to see a small amount of lying snow before Spring sets in.

As predicted we have our first official dusting here in Scarborough- long overdue and it's coming down heavily.

Is that trafalgar sq?

And yeah- snowing again here just off the Esplanade, radar really beginning to organise itself now- interesting few hours ahead, perhaps a couple cm's from these.
