Just remember folks in the west of our region, you all at least had a snow covering during the January coldish spell. Here in the east we have had zilch.

We need the dew point to lower by a degree or so, or for the intensity to increase. I'm not expecting anything here. Time will tell of course.

Back to a friendly thread,south east's seem to shoot everyone down from oooooop north if they dare say it won't be snowing down there tonight lol

its tipping down with rain here so expecting pish to happen here tonight regarding wintriness

Well if its raining where you are mate then us folk down the hill have no chance of anything wintery tonight. I was contemplating a drive up the A46 tomorrow morning....

In the meantime we have a trough feature moving down across the country tomorrow, a shallow disturbance which could deliver a surprise snowfall to some in the NW and Yorkshire in particular. Quote from the model thread!!!

A frosty start to the day with cloud building during the morning. However from midday onwards the cloud quickly dispersed and there was plenty of warmish sunshine.

Really..? Light snow from those showers here..? 

Certainly disagree with the end of Winter forecast. Cold in place is always good around here Joggs.!

Temp drop of nearly 3C here in an hour in Hull...quite incredible. 3.9C at 8 o'clock, 1.2C at 9 o'clock.

yes , i was in Cottingham at 8.15 and it was about 4 c , now in Newbald and it is -1 c , bloody cold now and hoping for a few snow showers coming off the North Sea later
