Sweet spot this time from a national perspective appears to be the Glasgow area, parts of cumbria and dare i say it, just to the east of the hills in Yorkshire!  More locally I guess Leeds, Harrogate and Wakefield....judging by the radar.

Good couple of cm's here now , I was a bit worried I wouldn't see snow as moved recently from North Leeds to just outside the Centre. The snow is falling pretty steady and no wind at all !

What's your exact location? Is there much near Shadwell, Scarcroft, Wike area?

Finally passed the 1cm mark.  Going by the radar we may get an inch or two out of this event. Looks like it will last as the temperatures are looking low for the next few days.

Why are the met office warnings still so out of date? I would expect ice will be an issue on the roads in west and south Yorkshire.

Yeah it's a great surprise tonight... We're already at the top end of the metoffice warning accumulations for low ground, not that I'm anywhere near the warning area lol! I'm surprised they haven't changed the area covered in their latest update to it!?

I've flit over here from the NW discussion, getting very jealous of what I'm seeing!

Fab stuff, a covering hehe, although my son came in half hour ago with a suspected broken nose, blood everywhere...always same with him and snow, they don't mix very well lol. All is good though, no break thank God :)

I'm in Hunslet , just south of the City centre but I have friends north of Leeds that say there is about 2 inch there now

I think  even the Met Office got this one wrong , forecasted the front to move down the West and into the Midlands but its all shifted further East

You have my sympathies. I hate it when that happens. Come live in Yorkshire, there's plenty of snow to go around lol.
