Snow line maybe a touch higher up, I don't think the airmass is colder here. Im technically at 190m (up the road peaks at 210). I reckon if something heavier comes it'll be of snow.

Sleet currently here....

Hoping for a change to snow later as the rain/snow pulls south

Interestingly the clouds coming behind are turning white and fluffy - surely a good sign?!! Although the sleet has thoroughly wet the ground :nonono:

It's been disappointing that I have not seen any snow falling here, even if it did it was in the night and didn't stick. To be honest I wasn't expecting much anyway. The way it is at the moment I would take a snowy breakdown then go from there!! We will get lucky again one day lol

Also has anyone noticed the wind is picking up now, the roads and pavements are starting to dry out so if any showers do make it then there is more chance of a covering. Well here's to hoping.:D

Windy with light to moderate snow. Doesn't look like it wants to settle, it's just so windy.

Still time tho.

It's trying here, not quite managed it yet though.

Nice to see even the odd flake in the wind lol

Edit: pepping up a little bit here now! So nice to see it falling. I don't care if it sticks or not, it's falling! :)

Here in West,we can only hope snow showers move in from nw later. But doubtful.Looks more like the hp might back off sw nxt wk with too much energy going over it.A slow erosion of the cold with winds backing w eventually with no snowy breakdown for me.

Precipitation is now just about moving away from the West of the region.  Quite a poor forecast today really, as there was a suggestion even the Leeds / Sheffield areas would still be affected up until late afternoon / early evening.

Bound to be a freeze up tonight though!
