Yep whiteout blizzard conditions up there, decided not to head up there tonight due to work in the morning and also how dangerous it could be.

Yep whiteout blizzard conditions up there, decided not to head up there tonight due to work in the morning and also how dangerous it could be.

That will be Whitby potentially cut off then for the first time this year if it continues, good ol' Moors mini climate, miss that place down here.

Flakes about the size of 5ps and doesn't seem to be settling at the moment here

Ok, now it's settling, amazing to see, like a blizzard, everything slowly turning white :)

Warm sector incoming so will turn to rain across the moors in the next hour but snow showers will be imminent dawn onwards, already 4c at Fylingdales now whereas sutton bank is 0c

off to the peak district in the morning,should be nice up there.

 

this snow is beautifull,not the wet type either,very powdery :D

I want to go out and play in it haha, snow angels and snow men are calling out to me!

It's fantastic, have filmed and taken photos, kids will be gutted to have missed it lol

Warm temps encroaching across the region, don't expect lying snow for long, probably about 30 mins left in low lying areas.

Thats why i said head for the hills,i will be :)

 

still powdery snow falling here though,everything is plastered white,this will be one memory,that's the beauty of snow even though it won't last long.

Wow! May not yet be overun with the white stuff but it's certainly windy!!! Not experienced winds like this for a long time! gutted my weather station isn't mounted cos I'd love to know the gusts. Brid recorded 50mph but feels loads more than that! 

 

Here's hoping the showers later on can provide something decent!! :)
