Didn't feel too bad at say half 5 dog walkies this morning. Half 9 it was getting colder now it's really cold BRR!

Competition time to see who gets the highest minimum temp tonight... Coastal mongooses only - looking at you especially, Hawesy.  So far I've got down to 6C.

Plenty of mongoose rain starting to pile in on the north coast now.  Should be a damp old night.  5C now.

Well, winter tyres on and ready for a taste of the white stuff hopefully.

 

Struggled to get above 5 °C here at fort SS today. A right raw wind as I was up in the apple tree collecting the last of the crop.

 

T dropping steadily away now. Occasional light drizzly showers.

Cloudy here at 2C. We had snow falling this morning when it was not forecast so ironically will probably get cold rain later this evening. Must say it did look good seeing the large flakes falling albeit it didn't stick on the wet ground.

Temps heading south up here, same as the snow line on the hills.  It's looking very lovely. Aonach Mor has a good cover to below the Top station.

Drying up and a clearance  now coming in from the NW  across the Firth  as I switched off another outside water trough with  pink "cottonwool "   shower clouds in the clear skies on the horizon.  A very wintry looking sky! A dusting of fresh snow on most of the mountains to the north down to about 2000feet. Still 3c

Now 2c and clear a couple of photos from 3.00 pm as the sky cleared

Currently 2.3c here HC, which is my coldest reading of the Autumn. In the likely absence of snow (here) I'll settle for my first air frost of the season, though with the wind picking up that may not happen....
