Paws for thought

An internet discussion is raging as to whether this cat is going up or down stairs.

The debate seems largely divided between people professing a knowledge of feline biomechanics and other arguing from an architectural standpoint.

I'm off to ring to ring Schrodinger.

Saw this the other day and also think going downstairs,  the blank space at the top (end) could easily be a floor/wall, but the top of each step lay on top and slightly over the upright.

You want a solid supporting step to be --¬ rather than ---I

According to Schrodinger he's doing both until you look at the cat.

At first when I looked at the image from afar i assumed it was going upstairs but after focusing on the cat I'd say downstairs.

Tough one. I'd say the cat is going upstairs.

Changed my mind after enlarging the photo. Cat is going down.

Sunlight  coming through doorway  downstairs ... Shadow in front of cat, so guessing going up the stairs ... Unless the light is through the landing window and then the cat is traversing down the stair case,,, Confused .com :sorry:  :sorry:  :sorry:
