Funny to read comments of 'careless' and 'sloppy' when the aggressive style of play was called for on a number of occasions in the past when such positive match positions were wasted due to slow scori

in all the doom and gloom for the aussies, there is one glimmer of hope....             ...in the form of a promising young batsman who top scored for them.....goes by the name of Extras .....l

How many thought it was over when Leach was halfway down the pitch?!

I can not believe Lyons missed that run out and they wastedtheir last review on a terrible review and Stokes was plumb lbw to Lyons. All within the last few balls of the match.

Jesus H Christ, this was the World Cup final all over again

Those ashes in 2005 was the most mesmerising cricket I thought i had seen live.................I think that test match and the world cup final have topped that well and truly. That was unreal!

I've just been sick and now I'm genuinely crying.....Am I ill, amI sad?    No.....sick through release of nerves and stress and tears of joy....so happy, as much as I criticise England, I always want them to achieve the impossible, and today a miracle did happen......absolutely incredible!......I'm off for a lie down and then a beer!

    Another remarkable Headingley Test

West Indies won that run chase two years ago

    Butcher's 173 to win 2001 Ashes Test

Botham and Willis's 1981 Ashes Test

    Boycott's 100th century in 1977

Underwood's spinning England to victory in 1972

Trueman's bowling to win 1961 Ashes Test

Bradman and Morris run chase to win the 1948 Ashes Test

    Bradman's triple centuries in 1930 and 1934

Yes, what a hideous review, i never buy into this 'review because of desperation or in other cases just because its a quality batsmen' even if they had had 2 reviews left, you could still then review another one which is close after, lose your review and then not be able to review one what is out, the situation of the match or who it is will have no effect on the likelyhood of it being out, you should only review if there is a genuine chance of it being out. 'Tactical' reviews should only be used if its started to rain and you are just ahead on Duckworth lewis or if you are battling for a draw in somewhere like Abhu Dhabi in a test and the light is closing in trying to waste time.

England players could have saved you that fate if they had also had a stomach problem in the first innings - because we would have won easier as at least they might have got runs.

However I don't think they match Stokes getting 99% of the runs for the last wicket. Amazing and must be a world record on it's own.

Two ridiculous and ultimately successful Sunday afternoons of cricket this summer and Stokes at the heart of both of them!

It was agony listening on the radio, roll on channel 5 in an hour!

Out of interest did the Aussies ask for the extra half hour instead of going in for tea?
