Clear spells overnight, a continued force 3 WSW wind prevented the temperature falling below 0.6c, though still a widespread ground frost. Cloud increased around dawn producing a moderate sleet shower. At observation, sunny spells, sleet showers in the vicinity.

Convection now dying down after some superb cloud scapes as shower/minor troughs swung across this morning. A mix of rain, sleet and snow falling with brief 3/4 cover between 1000-1100. Large variations in temperature also and very breezy too.

Snow pellet day is the best description. Plenty of light snow pellet showers odd snow flake mixed in with the pellets
