Still cloudy but dried up now, a high of 6.0 earlier today. Temp now 5.1

I recorded a high of 6.6C today. That's the coldest (daytime) maximum for me since 22nd February.

Looking forward to changes from Tuesday.. Cloud could be a bit of an issue later in the week.. But temps from Thursday into the weekend day time look lovely in any sun will be very pleasant could be cool at night as ever this time of year

Now I've finally managed to work out which area of the country I live in...

 

 

Grotty day weather-wise, although at least the wind had dropped a bit when I had to do some stuff in the garden for my parents in the early afternoon.

 

The good news is that six weeks after his pacemaker was fitted Dad's finally recovered enough from the hospital-acquired pneumonia to have the energy and speed of thought to start driving again.

 

Friday's forecast doesn't look good for eclipse watching.

Let's face it, anything now is only very likely to be a statistical curiosity rather than a memorable snowfall in its own right. Even the March snows of two years ago (in our area) wouldn't have warranted too much discussion if they'd occurred in January.

Time to look towards big convective showers, light evenings and warm sunshine methinks.

Rain all morning so far, some of it heavy. This is associated with a warm front pushing up from the continent, hopefully behind with a continental flow we should see some sunny spells develop and temperatures rise to above average levels. So hopefully an improving picture today.

Looks like the weekend will be cooler for my 21st (Saturday) But still very much dry and maybe a bit of Sun daytime up to about 9-10 degrees..

Was all this rain forecast? It has been very persistent since quite early this morning and shows little sign of relenting. What a horrible day!
