I just couldn't resist, its that time again

I think well into April for me, but quite likely in march for some if some of the FI charts come off, dare to punt at any specific date?

If we are looking at a HP dominated March then some favoured spots may reach the magic 20 ( or 21c) by months end?

20th March.

I suspect that in maxima at least, this March will be a good one.

Not overly optimistic of an early warm up this year. Too much average dross so I,ll punt for 21 st April at Heathrow

27th of March in Gravesend or somewhere in NE Scotland. 20C in my area is different every year.

April sometime, this high pressure warmth for mid march will be downgraded to unsettled westerlies, Wet and windy, the theme for mid march

I think we might just get a 20c in March, probably in the last week. I will plump for 27th in London

30 000c Central London in May , if things don't workout with Russia !!.

That's the only scenario when I would welcome a SE/the rest split!

Seriously, I guess early April somewhere, though wouldn't be surprised if it's May here. For saying it was in the top 10 warmest Aprils, 2014 was pretty poor for high maxima, nothing over 18C here. Last 20C in April was back in 2011. (Actually had it in March more recently come to think of it).

I do not think 20C will be achieved in March but it will come close.

I'll go with 3rd of April - London City Airport.

I think we will use this as the target time and place

I'm going to punt on a repeat of March 2012. 20C to be first hit on March 23 and repeatedly after for a number of days.

Would love a Spring with no 20C recorded, that would be exceptional and would be newsworthy unlike the first 20C which happens all the time in Spring.

Barring a volcanic eruption this is unlikely in our lifetimes.

I'd love for this to happen...especially if it meant a March 2013 repeat in 2016!

Anyway, 20C looks achievable in a favoured location sometime at the weekend/early next week, going off the current output. As such, I'm going for a very early in the year 20C on Sunday 8th March in Gravesend.
