Lovely days weather.

Only reached 16c so hardly heatwave conditions but felt nice and warm in the long sunny periods.

However as seems to be the case a lot lately, sunny days have tended to change into cloudy evenings.

Still, a decent day and Thursdays rain looks to be set further south than thought earlier so a dry prospect for tomorrow is looking quite likely.

It's not always 'grim up norf' - heavy rain in the south, not too bad up here.

Yet another cold, mostly grey day with temps in low teens at best. Liverpool ATIS reports just 12C @ 17.20Z - on a mid-May day teatime. :cold:   When will these depressed (and depressing) temps give way to something like spring, let alone summer?

All In all a decent day again.

The usual late afternoon cloud up arrived but compared to those further south, not bad and at least dry.

Still not very seasonal though and without the sun it feels distinctly chilly.

Not a bad day ,rain crept in now though ...

Dry here although it's gone cloudy over the last hour or so.

Decent day on the whole though, just hope it doesn't turn wet over the weekend so I can get some outside jobs done.

Have a good do - cant be there this year but on Ullswater Steamer Sunday - looks a bit chilly.

Just started raining here so my thoughts of cutting the grass have gone the shape of the pear.

Mmm a rather disappointing day for May overall. A very promising start with decent sunshine, but overcast skies by lunchtime and rain arrived before teatime moderate at times. Poor temps again, max 12 degrees below average.

 

A rather lacklustre weekend ahead similar to last weekend, Sat afternoon and evening should see the best conditions, Sunday a wet chilly day. Fingers crossed the tentative signal for a more pronounced rise of heights by end of next week surfaces, perfect timing for the bank holiday weekend and school holidays, warm sunny weather in late May is wonderful.

20 minutes ago the sun was shining through the curtains.

Now it's wall to wall cloud and looks like it could rain.

Breezy as well and only 8c so no doubt when I do finally head in the direction of the garden, it will feel cold.

All in all like recent weekends seem to have been.

Next few days look very poor with little sun, plenty of rain and cool temperatures although hopefully things may start to improve by the BH weekend.

Oh dear getting fed up with current pattern resulting in persistently below average temps, limited sunshine and a continuing cold breeze. Very disappointing for May -its turning into a rather poor month in a month that can do so much better.
