Cloudy start but cleared as the morning went on with a lovely clear afternoon and evening.

Not overly warm though with a bit of a breeze but still very pleasant.

Certainly could have been worse and with a predominantly dry outlook, hopefully a few decent days coming up.

A half decent April day, a cloudy morning with a few spits of rain, but a much brighter afternoon with some decent spells of sunshine. Temperatures nothing special, an average 10 degrees.

Forecast was for drizzle and light rain to plague the area, but alas we stayed mostly dry.

Tomorrow looks a bit miserable until later on, with some rain, and a continuation of rather lacklustre temps. However, rest of the week promises plenty of dry fine weather and despite average temps, under sunshine and light winds it should feel very pleasant, excellent outdoor activity weather, good for getting the gardens into order and such like.

8c at midday, was sunny for an hour earlier this morning.... Shrouded in thick cloud.... Managed a few hours in garden and doing some odd jobs this morning. At least it was first evening up here having dinner outside in warm sunshine yesterday. Hopefully more to come than last spring/summer....

Only reached 11C under all of this cloud. It's been a pretty crap day, but at least tomorrow and the rest of this week promises to be much better.

Cloudy cold feeling day made even worse by knowing that much of the country was basking in warm sunshine.

Never mind, at least I don't need to worry about the expected breakdown to cooler conditions as up here it already feels like winter.

Should be an improvement, expecting 15 to 17 c on sat I still conditions ,nice :)..

And a chilly easterly likely for southern parts.

Now that won't go down well with the SE biased media.

lol, guess that won't be all over the red tops !!.

Today has been amazing for the north, south temperature gradient.

It does happen but at almost 20c between highest and lowest daytime maximums, quite extreme.

Just a shame that we were, as usual firmly stuck in no mans land.

The next couple of days should see the south cool down and temperatures begin to rise for up here and with little in the way of rain likely for several days, hopefully it should be a decent spell of weather.

Certainly could be much worse and with the added bonus of knowing that it's not likely to be heatwave conditions for others.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
