Beautiful summer day with plenty of sunshine which is now hazy due to Cirrus and all manner of Altocumulus variances scattered below it.

There are 2 days in my wife's school calendar which are important to have decent weather, one is always the 29th May (it was very wet for half of the day this year and dry every day either side!) and the other is a Sports Evening which is always the last Friday in June. Lo and behold it looks showery thanks to a Cold Front arriving late afternoon when every other afternoon/evening this week has been/will be dry! I am hoping the front gets a shift on and has cleared by mid afternoon.

Lyn ; yours is a lovely pic too.

These nights ... so clammy and sticky and hot ... I seriously cannot handle them. And looking at some of the charts - especially for us - I think it's time I pack my bags and bugger off to Iceland or Greenland for a bit. :/

A wonderful sunny morning. Temp currently at 20.3°C

The MetO and BBC have me down for 15°C right now, and maxing at 18°C around 4 or 5pm.

Indeed a very sticky and clammy period coming up, time to go and buy some more desk fans for the bed room

Great day here. Plenty of Ci but sunny with a max around 19C. Just my sort of weather.  You can stick this possible heat wave although fortunately in these parts it doesn't normally get that hot.

Looking a bit damp at the moment for Catfish and the Bottlemen at Glastonbury.

It might just slide past us.

Just had a couple rumbles of thunder! Pretty unexpected, as it looked like the front would have all but died out, but there's an area of quite heavy rain passing over at the moment.

Just had some very large convective drops of rain, only amounted to 0.3mm :)

The BBC's 4pm image at 4pm was showing the 'all clear' and failed to pick up on the mass of heavy rain that passed across most of the southern quadrant of the UK during the afternoon and early evening. In fact, even worse, the current 7pm projection for East Anglia is bone dry, yet the mass of rain is squarely over that region now. It is not as if they couldn't have seen it coming, but sadly many people gearing up for a dry evening in those parts are going to be severely disappointed.

1.6mm from that afternoon rain.  Sunny end to the day and feeling fresher.
