   Thats a p** take if I ever saw one...

No chance of snow until later this afternoon and evening... Due points and temps WAY to high..

Even if you got a heavier burst and it draws down the cold uppers it won't settle with the air temp currently..

From about 4pm-5pm Onwards things SHOULD fall into place for MAYBE 1-2CM in lucky spots.. Dont hold your breath though.

It was always going to be late afternoon for most of the SE anyway when the -10 850's take control...there is still a glimmer of hope :)

Had a shower of what I can only call, wet graupel, quite brief. Radar looks FUBAR so it's a case of look out the window to see what will fall out of the sky next!

This looks like a direct hit for me in the next half hour and at about 450ft asl I'll let you know what I get

Although people are saying it'll only be rain there are reports of snow coming in and the land is a lot cooler and with the right elevation dont rule it out

These will veer more in an Easterly Direction as the -10 uppers dig in

Its still blue skies here and I can the main showers just off the north kent coast to my NE but they seem to not be making it over land yet, almost like its coming up against a brick wall

Wind beginning to pick up now. Temperature of 5C at the moment. Temperatures as high as 8C along the Thames Estuary at the moment. That easterly has a lot of work to do.

Just noticed the temp here is 5.2! That will have to take a nose dive in order for anything hopeful.

Interestingly, a look at the 1200hrs obs shows dew points are lower over the N Sea than inland over SE England - which is a sign that drier surface flow is advecting west/SW:

12z - dew points in green (below 0C over N Sea)

Colder T850s and lower 1000-850mb thicknesses coming our way too:

Question is, how long will there been enough instability to keep the showers going before the ridge building in from the west kills them off? Perhaps until the end of today, but probably snow flurries that will be confined to  Kent/Sussex on Friday.

If I stayed in Biggin Hill I would have been under that, unfortunately moving SW away from here.
