Went for a drive this morning to Biggin Hill on the North Downs above south London and the snow was settling up there with a temperature of 0c on the car thermo. The highest part of Biggin Hill is around 240m, even the airport is above 150m:

Went very dark in Chatham I got all excited! Got driving sleety rain

I can see the medway towns from my bedroom window looking north. Very dark to the north west (chatham) and blue skies to the north east (rainham/newington)

6c here now and with a South facing garden out of the wind that sun sure has some strength! Its actually quite spring like.

Hoping if this High sits around we can get some nice sun over the next few weeks

Edit: East North Easterlies now appearing just above the Wash! No such luck down here with a straight Northerly which are pants for the majority of the South East and pretty much what we have had since this time last week.............Next

Bright here, with cumulus/stratocumulus and sunny intervals.  Ppn. froze overnight but rapidly thawed, so roads etc. weren't too bad.

Current alignment is East of Whitstable for Showers,

big clumps out in the east estuary.

Elsewhere dry.& Actually very average.

Dry would suit me now, with temps along that North Kent Coast and Essex Coastline of 6c / 2c on the T/Td Spread it is pretty pointless

I'm surprised how potent they look...maybe an hour away?

After a brief sunnier spell the cloud is thickening up again from the east. Maybe a shower in a bit.

I used to work at the airport (twice) Nick, hence username :) you get everything thrown at you there weatherwise. You see right up to can Thames northwards n Gatwick t'other way. Esp from the Control Tower.

   Thats a p** take if I ever saw one...

No chance of snow until later this afternoon and evening... Due points and temps WAY to high..

Even if you got a heavier burst and it draws down the cold uppers it won't settle with the air temp currently..

From about 4pm-5pm Onwards things SHOULD fall into place for MAYBE 1-2CM in lucky spots.. Dont hold your breath though.

A shower of "dry" graupel in ramsgate. No rain involved. The colder uppers have arrived maybe. Good news for maidstone and ashford areas if anything more potent sets up. Infact light snow now.

It not marginal for a few hours.

Although people are saying it'll only be rain there are reports of snow coming in and the land is a lot cooler and with the right elevation dont rule it out

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
