latest bbc forecast has pretty much killed it for me,any showers will be sleet at best as temps of around 5 degrees are showing

No way is it plus 5 out there.

The ppn is breaking up as it heads South, but those to the North and West of London look to get at least something, the rest if us will have to keep holding our breath.

There was a MASSIVE halo earlier, now the moon is shining brightly in the clear sky!!! ;(

Track is starting to change more to a southerly direction now.

Is it though or is it what we want to see

I wouldnt bank on anything until it's falling from the sky. I thought we were a banker 20 mins ago and diddly squat as the east side broke up within 10 mins.......

Hi Steve, how much snow could you expect for this ppn set up at lower levels?

I think Peterborough area looks the sweet spot - maybe 5-7cm if they tap into that new streamer along the wash

2cm North of London

South of London & kent- unsure yet....

BBC London forecast is utterly dire for our region. They must be expecting the entire system to slide SW.

Ye Gods.

Well! What a surprise this has been. Lovely narnia scenes outside now, and looking at the latest radar returns, could this be the start of the Wash Streamer starting to form! Heres hoping.

The potential streamer looks like it's trying but not convinced yet.

3cms snow now. Probably one more shower tonight then another few in the morning. If we could keep this going for another hour we'd hit 2inched. Probably unlikely but a lovely evening!
