We have a slight covering here, and snow is really coming down. Let's hope it last long enough for the kids to see it in the morning.

Maybe just signs that on the eastern side there might be extra precipitation cropping up. Possible snow soon here. Also some very potent showers moving into Norfolk at the moment.

A shame for the south eastern corner that this looks likely to miss to the west again. Seemed to be in the firing line on the final model runs and then it goes through a good 100 miles further west than prognosed.

All our good luck in 2009-2012 is catching up with us...

Looks like the main precipitation is going to miss NW London. Wouldn't surprise me.

Not at all. It'll enter NW  London about 11ish.

Any chance of this hitting ipswich? Sorry to ask

Not looking great at the moment. Maybe we will catch one or two showers overnight possibly.

how far are you from me?

Around 20-25 miles at a guess - I'm SSW of Norwich, between the A11 and A140.

Good snow in Flitwick, Beds - over 1" already and not at all expecting this. First real snow in over 4 years due to living in the tropics since 2010 - love it!!

Snowing heavily on Dunstable Downs. Snow readily accumulating. Hope everyone gets their fair share over the next few days. I am quite excited by prospects for our region over the next few days. For those in South and East Kent remember that you will still be receiving snow showers at the end of the week when Bedfordshire has turned bone dry !

Those showers over Norfolk appear to be of sleet, so I can 100% confirm that they will come down Ipswich way haha

Well, now I'm happy. That's the heaviest falling snow I've seen for a long time, and I was standing on the side of the pitch in it.

Still snowing, but now quite fine. If I don't get any more, well that's ok. I'm not greedy. !
