lol, it's dropped to 3c now Arctic storm brewing perhaps ??...

Yeah it could be a bad one.

Maybe severe cloud and a wind chill as low as -1c.

We may need to check what temperature aviation fuel freezes at before we send the helicopters in the rescue any royals who may be on their holidays in Scotland.

Add a cm of snow to that temperature and we're looking at the next ice age.

We'd need Diane Oxberry's balaced views just to get us through.

I just wish they'd butt out with their opinion. "Thankfully cloud should roll in around midnight so temperatures shouldn't be too bad tonight".

So I guess dank and drizzle is better than sunshine and a beautiful frost?! Really grinds my gears!

I didn't think that it was possible to beat the Oxberry and Equator show with their special guests, mild, drizzle and top of the bill.

At least we've been lucky and missed all of the forecast snow.

And then thanks to Sky + you can watch it time and time again.

Its been a cloudy all day here, quite gloomy in the main, with cloud shrouding the highest tops in stark contrast to most days over the last week. The effect of cloud has raised ground temperatures somewhat and allowed quite a rapid thaw to take place, I've lost all the snow cover in the front garden, and the fells are looking very mottled.

Current temp 3.3 degrees and it hasn't budged for a few hours now. Its unclear whether the upcoming period will be a cloudy one and therefore limited chance of frost, or a clear one.. We shall see.

Certainly looking like a notably dry first half to Feb, with had a few spits this morning but that's all so far.

that what she said? I think she means we've been unlucky to miss the forecasted snow!

A lovely day

again it seems like from a minute in, that now the sun is strong enough for weak convection
